Kicking off a new weekly recurring volunteer events in Spring Garden Park! 

Lead by Hieke, a Portland Parks horticulturist in charge of the park, all are welcome to attend volunteer maintanence events in which you’ll receive training and work on a different topic each session.  Tools are provided at these family friendly events that are also a great way to meet neighbors, get physical activity, and communicate with the city about the park. No ongoing commitment required.

Community participation essential to keep our parks healthy and beautiful!

 Tasks: We’ll do basic gardening like raking and removing weeds. Other tasks might include mulching, removing dead or invasive plants, etc., training and instruction will come from Heike and tasks depend on the number of participants. Advanced registration will help Heike plan out what supplies they need prior to the events.

We encourage community members to bring their own gloves. However, we will have some to loan out if needed.
