VILLAGE PARK

Let’s work together as a united community to develop and create a beautiful greenspace on the vacant lot located at the intersection of SW 36th and SW Troy Street.

Summer Concert Series

Village Park

brought to you in partnership by the Multnomah Neighborhood Association, the Multnomah Village Business Association and our many sponsors

Join us at Village Park, at the corner of SW 36th Ave and SW Troy St., for our exciting summer concert series, where we will showcase a variety of talented local musicians. This is a fantastic opportunity to relax, so bring a chair or blanket, and feel free to pack a picnic if you’d like. Come and enjoy the amazing performances while spending quality time with friends and neighbors in the beautiful outdoors. This is a free event, and while donations are appreciated, they are not required.

Village Park Design Concept

“Based on community input, we are pleased to release our plan for Village Park. This space will be divided into two program areas: the lower (South) patio will feature a patio that can accommodate a food truck and upper (North) patio that will be a flat open area to provide space for a variety of activities based on community needs and programs.  There is a proposed path and staircase through the site for added circulation between the upper and lower parts of the Park. The Village Park celebrates our Oregon natives and provides much needed habitat for our local pollinators.  We look forward to working with the community to bring it to life!”

Stormwater Stars

Planting Event

We have been partnering with the Westside Watershed Resource Center and Stormwater Stars to improve the steep slope on the site with Native Plants. On October 27 a Stormwater Stars Workshop was held where we learned about the benefits of planting native plants for watershed health and stormwater reduction. With a fantastic group of volunteers, we planted nearly 180 Valley native shrubs and perennials.
